The very same pipeline that spewed up to a million gallons of oil into the Kalamazoo River has a problem in Metro Detroit.
Remember a few weeks ago when a huge pipeline carrying oil from Indiana to Ontario started leaking? The EPA says up to a million gallons of oil spilled into the Kalamazoo river. And now, Enbridge, the pipeline’s owner, admits there’s a problem with the very same pipeline as it passes under the St. Clair River.
Enbridge, headquartered in Canada, says a dent was found on the pipeline about a year ago. As for a fix, Enbridge says the problem is being evaluated and that the situation is being handled appropriately.
U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller is calling for the federal government to investigate the dent.
